KUALA LUMPUR – Road safety advocate Petron Malaysia teamed up with Honda in offering a free 32-point car inspection for any car brand recently. This initiative served 1,100 cars in total at four Petron stations in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Pahang and Terengganu.

“We are pleased to offer this service to our customers together with our partner, Honda Malaysia, to instill in the public the importance of preparing their vehicles before hitting the road. With this, we hope that there will be lesser road accidents especially during the festive seasons,” said Petron Malaysia Corporate Safety, Security, Health and Environment Head, Lokman Hani. Petron has been working closely with Honda Malaysia to provide the free car inspection service at select Petron service stations in various states.

“Ensuring the good condition of a vehicle is key. A simple inspection can help prevent any untoward incident and save lives. When you are planning to go on a long drive, you tend to overlook the fact that your car requires some simple checks. Safety is our top most priority, and we look forward to extending this service to more motorists especially to those who will be travelling long distances,” added Lokman.

The stations that took part in the four-day campaign from 1st to 4th August 2019 were Petron Jalan Tengku Mizan in Kuala Terengganu, Petron Jalan Tengah in Georgetown, Petron Jalan Beserah in Kuantan, and Petron Jalan Sentul in Kuala Lumpur.

Last year, Petron held 20 car safety inspections for more than 3,800 cars at various Petron stations as part of its long-standing road safety program.
